Example
"Instead of revenue declined 12% in Q3, frame as — when the new competitor entered the market in July (conflict), we had to choose between cutting prices or investing in differentiation (choice). We chose to hold prices, and the result was a 12% revenue decline (consequence). The question now is whether that trade-off was correct."
Common misuse
"Using narrative to obscure rather than reveal — framing a failure as a hero's journey when the causal chain was actually incompetence or bad luck. Narrative is a communication tool, not a whitewashing tool."
