Terms of Service

The rules of engagement for the HUMMBL Base120 API.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the HUMMBL Base120 API ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

HUMMBL provides a REST API offering 120 mental models for AI agents. The Service is currently in beta and is provided free of charge. Features, availability, and pricing may change.

3. Beta Service

The Service is currently in beta. This means:

  • The Service is provided "as is" without warranty
  • Features may be added, changed, or removed without notice
  • Rate limits and usage quotas may be adjusted
  • The Service may experience downtime for maintenance or updates
  • We make no guarantees about the long-term availability of the free tier

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Attempt to circumvent rate limits or access controls
  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code
  • Transmit malicious input designed to exploit the Service (prompt injection, SQL injection, etc.)
  • Use the Service to generate harmful, abusive, or misleading content
  • Resell access to the Service without written permission
  • Use automated tools to scrape or bulk-download model data beyond normal API usage

5. Rate Limits

The Service enforces rate limits (currently 100 requests per minute per IP address). Exceeding rate limits will result in HTTP 429 responses. Persistent or deliberate abuse of rate limits may result in temporary or permanent access restrictions.

6. Intellectual Property

The Base120 mental model framework, model definitions, scoring algorithms, and API design are the intellectual property of HUMMBL. You may use the API responses in your applications but may not claim the models as your own creation.

7. Data & Privacy

See our Privacy Policy for details on data collection and handling. In summary: we collect minimal data (IP addresses for rate limiting, Cloudflare Analytics for aggregate usage). We do not store your API request content.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. HUMMBL DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE. THE RECOMMENDATIONS PROVIDED BY THE API ARE FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY AND SHOULD NOT BE RELIED UPON AS PROFESSIONAL ADVICE.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HUMMBL SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE (CURRENTLY $0 FOR THE FREE TIER).

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, for any reason, without notice. You may stop using the Service at any time.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
